Carlos Gonçalves de Lima, Tinguinha, was born in Jacarezinho, Paraná, Brasil on 19/02/1964. He started to surf at the age of 11 and began to enter the surf championships at thirteen years of age, where in his first championship he came 5th.
In the years of 1982, 83 and 84 he was Champion of the Brazilian Surf Festival and in the years 1990 and 1993 he won the title of Brazilian Surf Champion through ABRASP. He was sixteen times champion of the state of São Paulo and in 1994 he entered the elite top 44 of the world ( WCT), abandoning it later due to lack of sponsors in the middle of the year.
In 2004 Tinguinha arrived in Portugal with the objective of transmitting his knowledge and experience through the concept TingaSurf.
